Carlingford Marina Bar & Restaurant
This striking bar and restaurant forms part of a new marina on the waterfront overlooking the lough. The high quality food and service comprises primarily of the very freshest seafood delivered by the fishermen arriving at the quayside in the morning. The menus feature barfood with 3 courses for €25.00 and evening a la carte for around €40.00. The seafood platter is excellent value, featuring perfectly cooked lobster, crab, mussels, prawns, clams, smoked salmon and of course the Carlingford oysters. This matches both in quality and price anything that can be found on the continent. The Carlingford mussels are wonderful to savour, served literally in a pot with excellent homemade bread, satisfaction is guaranteed. The whole lough lobster for just €29.50 is about the best value in the country. Desserts like a warm chocolate fondant are delicious and reasonably priced. There is seating for over one hundred as well as conference facilities. There is something magical about dining, day or night at the waters edge, the mountains, the boats and the reflections all add to an exciting experience.
