Georginas Bakehouse and Tearooms
Originally a family owner operated home bakery, it has evolved over 30 years into this quaint and quality tearoom as well priding itself on serving literally everything homemade as if you "were visiting your grandmothers"! This is the simple reason for its huge success and popularity. Located a few minutes walk just opposite King John's castle, it is open from 10.00am-6.00pm, seven days, attracting a loyal custom of both locals and tourists. House specialities range from wholesome homemade soups like Italian peasant, three onion or Russian vegetable to the beautiful salad bowls served with Georgina's own breads. There are assorted hot and cold gourmet sandwiches, interesting wraps like roasted vegetable, ten types of freshly made quality breads, an array of excellent cakes, scones and biscuits and the favourite deep apple pie. There is also a good selection of tea and speciality coffees. There is certainly a taste to suit everyone here - the courteous service, competitive prices and homely feeling combine to make this an excellent experience whether eating in or taking away.
