The Ghan House restaurant is in the sumptuous drawing room of this exquisite Georgian period residence. The house offers beautiful vistas of both the Lough and the mountains and its proximity to the Village means only a 3 minute walk to the square. It is open for dinner, a leisurly Sunday lunch and other lunch times by prior arrangement. The five course dinner menu at €47.00 is the best value option. The high level European style of cookery utilises the fine quality local ingredients in season. Seafood is to the fore with fish liable to be delivered as you are arriving for dinner! Starters are under €10.00 and include a tomato and mozzarella tart, terrine of venison, duck and pigeon or a seafood chowder, main courses are under €30.00 like "Osso Bucco"of Veal, rib of Cooley beef, fish of the day or a pumpkin risotto. Desserts are well prepared like a simple chocolate truffle or a cherry clafoutis and priced around €8.00. Single room is from €E70 and double room pps is from €70.
